04/04/2015 Crew: Mum, Dad, Andrew
We arrived at the staithe and set up Hunky Dory for the day. Then started cruising down to Barton Broad. There were speed camera warning signs. We passed hunset mill. Then joined the river ant down from Stalham. The boat handled well on the larger river.
At the top of Barton Broad we made the turn for Barton Turf and cruised past Cox's yard. Then continued onto Barton Broad. Hunky Dory went well over the broad and we kept to the channel markers. We then took the channel to Neatishead which was quite busy and a good test of the steering. Dad managed well as it was very busy. 1h 20 from Wayford.
We took the last mooring on the end of the staithe. Luckily we are a small boat. A quick walk and lunch. The sun was out. The hire boat next to us left and kindly crashed into us as they seem to forget the stern swings out when turning.
I then took the controls and left for Wayford. After an hour and 25 we where back at base and moored against the slipway. Enroute back we saw another kingfisher. Two sightings over the weekend!
