28/03/2015 - Crew: Andrew / Jane

After a busy week working in Vienna, Austria we set of from home early to travel to Wayford having arranged for Hunky Dory to be in the water. Hunky Dory was still sitting on the land, but after reminding Jon (the boatyard owner) she was launched for the first time.

It was time to see if the engine was in operation after being stood for a while, although Jon had serviced it for me in August. Alas the engine would not start. Luckily Jane suggested moving the throttle forwards (different from the last engine). Immediately there was life and the engine started easily.

Having been stored on the land she was very dirty, so the mop and bucket from Roys came in Handy and I spent the next hour cleaning her whilst testing the engine. Even the battery had enough power for the lights.

Due to the late launch there was not time to go for a run. With a storm on the way and the need to be in Belgium for Sunday night Hunky had passed the first test ready for next week with my parents.
